Common Questions

What sets KOMA apart?

We’ve built a professional, well-branded system that stands out in the industry. Unlike mom-and-pop martial arts academies, we offer a proprietary, progressive training program that utilizes the latest education software. And unlike other martial arts franchises, the KOMA approach emphasizes individual attention, mutual respect and the positive energy that students and franchisees need to excel.

With all of these factors, and our uplifting company culture, your Ko Martial Arts franchise can make a powerful impression in the martial arts community and your local market.

Who is Master Ko?

Master Bronson Ko is the founder of Ko Martial Arts. He trained under his father, a first-generation Grand Master from Korea. And, in addition to being a lifelong student of Taekwondo, Master Ko has studied business and marketing which have helped him develop proprietary programs for martial arts and franchisee education. His goal is to bring out the absolute best in every student through individualized attention and mutual respect.

Why should I franchise?

Franchising provides many benefits over starting a business from scratch. When you join an established brand, you gain the benefit of name recognition and existing marketing. Franchises also provide initial training and ongoing support that just isn’t present in a start-up.

When you franchise with Ko Martial Arts instead of opening your own martial arts school, you’re joining an entire family of martial arts education experts who are here to help you achieve greatness and are dedicated to your success.

Who will I be teaching?

The majority of KOMA students are children from pre-kindergarten through high school. We also teach adults, offer self-defense classes and provide programs for students with special needs.

Is training provided?

Absolutely! We’ve created a custom, multi-tiered training system that uses personal attention and online courses to show you step by step how to run your franchise, train your students and find fulfillment in your new business. With Ko Martial Arts, you’re never left wondering what to do next.

Is martial arts experience required?

Martial arts experience isn’t required but it is encouraged. As this is a martial arts education franchise opportunity, we expect our franchisees to have an appreciation for martial arts and the desire to bring the discipline and confidence it instills to students throughout their community.

What if I have a question down the road?

We’re always available to answer additional questions. From the moment you’re awarded your franchise, you’ll be in contact with the entire KOMA family and receive information and feedback to make your franchise the best it can be.
